About Me

Dr Charlotte Patterson-Green BVMS (Glasgow)
I am a veterinarian with 17 years’ experience in clinical practice having graduated from Glasgow University in 2007. I grew up in the Grampian mountains of Scotland and emigrated to NZ as soon as I was qualified, to live in a beautiful country which also boasts an abundance of sunshine.
I have worked with most domestic species over the course of my career with a primary focus on horses, cat and dogs. My personal animal family consists of 2 horses, 3 dogs and 3 cats and they bring me so much joy.
I consider animals to be my reason for being on this planet at this time. I have loved animals from birth and I became a vet as I believed this was the best way I could serve them.

    We contacted Epona Vet on recommendation from a friend. One of our dogs had bone cancer and her medication was no longer keeping her comfortable so we made the decision to have her put down at home. It makes sense to have them put to sleep in their own environment with their family, and so the other pets understand. Charlotte was amazing. She was so understanding and gentle. She comforted us and the animals along with our Girl in her last moments. It was so relaxed and made the whole process a lot easier for us all.

    Our family fully recommends Charlotte and her euthanasia services. Her empathy and kindness made the passing of my soul-dog a little more bearable. Having her come to our house, clearly explain the process, and be patient with our questions (all while showing our old girl a lot of love!) let us feel at peace with the decision we had to make. We really appreciated Charlotte's communication before, during, and after her service, we were always in the loop and knew what was happening and why. A massive thank you to Charlotte from us!     The thought of losing our beloved 12 1/2 year-old Rottweiler Zoe was just too much to bear. We were so thankful that the stars aligned and we met Charlotte who made the process just all that little bit more bearable. She came and sat with us, got to know Zoe, and then we made the decision together, she left us with enough time to say goodbye and came back a few days later And Charlotte‘s calming peaceful presence made one of the hardest things we have ever had to do just that little bit brighter and we know that Zoe felt her presence as well when she passed.
